Description
Kazi the Lion stands approximately 198cm (6'5"), and weighs around 68kg (150 lbs). He is quite lean and lanky. His fur is a tawny brown, with a wavy, jet black mane, that he keeps immaculately groomed, with small, rounded ears visible poking up through the mane. His left eye is a strikingly bright yellow, while his right eye is milky white, having been blinded. His body is noticeably deteriorated, losing a good portion of his normal muscle mass after two years in the hospital. The young lion has severe scarring over his upper body, over his right eye, and along his muzzle, several scars visible along his arms and over his upper chest, with more hidden by his clothing.
Personality
Kazi has a fairly subdued personality nowadays, a far cry from the boisterous, impulsive young lion he used to be. He is kind and caring and very loyal to those who he feels have earned it. He has an inexplicable fear of melons, the sight of them often sending him into panic attacks ranging anywhere from mild shaking to extreme terror.
Background
At the age of 18, Kazi suddenly dropped out of school, months before graduation, resulting in him being disowned by his fairly wealthy family and kicked out of his childhood home. He spent two years homeless, surviving on scraps on the streets of Denko. Eventually, at the age of 20, he made his way to the Black Market, specifically to a group of lions known as the Shishigumi, joining at a tumultuous time in the organization's history. They were without a leader at the time, but soon were taken over by the hybrid Melon. Kazi was one of the first victims of Melon's maniacal leadership, nearly losing his life after being caught speaking ill of the organization's new boss. Melon attacked Kazi with the intent of killing him; it was only by a miracle that Kazi survived, though he spent two years in a coma and only just recently awoke. He suffers a form of amnesia, likely a trauma response by his body and mind to spare him the horror of his near-death experience.
